Greetings, everyone.

I just had another go at the Jurassic World site and discovered that Masrani is fielding an excavation project in Siberia. The team will include nine scientists and a 45 member excavation team that is to take on the task of drilling at 42 glacial locations over the course of 18 months. Their goal is to locate genetic samples dating to between 40,000 and 200,000 years ago. The project faciilty's name is "Martel" ("Hammer").

Now, is it just my over excited mind, or does it seem that Masrani might be looking into resurrecting extinct mega fauna from the early age of mammals? Definately something to think about! :)

I saw that aswell... Although there was Dinosaurs in Siberia, With those time ranges they probably wouldn't find any... *Theres a chance*

My understanding is that much like JPB, They are opening up other sections from different Prehistoric eras...

I Doubt that their will be any Mammoths in the movie however Just because of it being "Jurassic world" And not "Prehistoric park".

Maybe in the future... But giant Prehistoric Mammals aren't really scary... So they loose a fear factor including them in.

Life cannot be contained, it breaks walls, crashes through barriers sometimes painfully, but uh... Life uh, finds a way

X_PADEN_X - All very valid and interesting points! There are only a select few ancient mammals that I feel could be frightening, such as the marsupial lion! That bloody thing was horrid! :)

That's exactly what I was thinking and that exact animal came to mind SOMETHING REAL! The marsupial lion would truly be terrifying and eerie...the terror birds would also be a good fit! Thanks for bringing all this to my attention!

How far can we push nature before it pushes back?

Nice SOMETHING REAL! Great work, totally agree when I saw this I was like," yes someboody thinks the same..." :) I agree, not in JW, but in later films we might see some other prehistoric animals. I'm not toatally comfortable with the idea, but I think that what it is!

EVAN123 - Indeed! The terror birds like Titanis would be extremely neat to see! Probably bloody freaky as the blue blazes, but neat nevertheless! ;)

It's a plausible theory, besides, who doesn't love mammoths? :)

Here's my modest proposal for a prequel for Jurassic World featuring ice age megafauna:  Mammoth Isle http://www.amazon.com/Mammoth-Isle-Philip-Linder-ebook/dp/B00R212A2G I recently published it on Amazon Kindle.

SPINORULEZ - Welcome to SCIFIED! Your hypothesis is definately interesting! I would very much indeed seeing a sequal or spin-off that centers on prehistoric mega-fauna! :)

JHAWKINS1987 - Indeed! I certainly would want the title to be indicative of the animals present in the film! Excellent thinking! :)
