MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-08-2013 3:37 PMDoes anyone else think that Metriacanthosurus could/should make an appearance in Jurassic Park 4? Personally I think that it should because it's name appeared in the scene were Nedry was stealing the embryos in the first movie.

Not sure how legit this picture is, but Metri appears on here too.

I know that Metriacanthosaurus isn't as catchy as Velociraptor or T-Rex, but I think it should appear at some point in the movie.

MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 10:38 AM5 feet shorter, but way lighter. Even if it was fast, Rex wasn't a slouch either. It would be a good fight, but in the end, the general population (people who know nothing) would be happier to see Rex win in an awesome way.

Can't help but notice the similarity between the two ;)

MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 10:40 AMThere is a lot of similarities, but the one noticeable difference is the lack of nose horn on Carno.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 10:41 AMJp3 made them look similar on purpose. They changed Cerato a bit to make it look like Carno. And I'm sure that T. rex would cream Yang, the fight would be very good, and it wouldn't be Ty easy.
Hi
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 10:45 AMIt would be a good fight, and in real life, Rex wouldn't get out of the fight unharmed. In Jurassic Park however, Rex would cream it with little to no effort, and Rex would live on as the invincible, king of the dinosaurs that had a shallow defeat in JP 3.
Lets hope that Rex at least gets a noticeable wound.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 10:48 AMI honestly don't care if Rex creams any dinosaur, Yang or Spino. I just wanna see it return as the major super predator. If it kills any other large carnivore, that's an added bonus.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 10:48 AMWell I think they would try to make it in some real life and give rex some pretty bad wounds.mif not, then I'm going to be screaming at Trever and Speilberg.
Hi
Lord Vader
MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 10:51 AMThat's true. I would like to see Rex get some form of injury in the fight if there is one.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 10:53 AMGood point. There might not be a fight. What we need is to make the animations for DinoFights fights. That would be really cool.
Hi

MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 10:58 AMFight or not, I'm sure Jurassic Park 4 will be great with Spielberg in production. Personally, going off topic, I would love to see Rex and Spino alliance instead of a Rex/Spino fight.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 10:58 AMI wish I could do CGI. I would be making awesome documentaries, fights, and even a movie version of The Fight To Survive. Sadly, CGI ain't easy to learn ;)

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:00 AMUnfortunately not. I have thought of a cool app to have. Yu type in something, say, a Giganotosaurus walks forwards, and then an animation of a Giganotosaurus walking forwards appears. That would be a good CGI thing.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:04 AMIf Rex vs Metri/Yang should appear in JP 4, they would probably make Yang/Metri slightly bigger than in real life. Knowing them.
Here's the fight with a slightly bigger Yang/Metri...

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:06 AMAs cool as that looks, I thin a battle would be even better than just that ending part.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:12 AMI think that a T. rex wouldn't kill the yang like that. It would have grabbed it by the neck and shook it around. Its many ton bite force would easily sink his six inch teeth deep.
Hi
Rex Fan 684
MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:15 AMThe way dinosaurs fought is debatable. If T-rex had the chance to grab the Yang by the face, I'm sure it would take it. But yes, the more likely way would be grabbing the neck and breaking it.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:17 AMIt probably would. I really want to build a time machine and go back in time. Mostly to feed my sister to a Dilophosaurus to find out if it is poisonous, but I would also go to see the Ekrixinatosaurus fight the Giganotosaurus.
Hi

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:20 AMThat would be cool. I'd like to visit the late Cretaceous in N. America, obvious reasons, but also late Jurassic N. America. I wanna see a fight between Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus.

MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:42 AMThen I'll give you something to think about and then say. There is a few reasons why I think yang is not Metri. One, Metri has a small frill like the one of Acrocanthosaurus. Two, they live in completly different areas. Three, they have very different sizes. Y is up to 35 feet long while Metri is around 26-30. Maybe Y shangyouensis us a Metri, but y magnus is a Yangchuanosaurus.
Hi
Rex Fan 684
MemberCompsognathusAug-09-2013 11:49 AMI don't really have an argument for the sail, but size and location, yes.
Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, and numerous other dinosaurs have different sizes and localities. Allosaurus for example ranges from less than 26 ft to 36-40 ft. Ceratosaurus can be found as small as 16 ft and as large as 23. And the same dinosaur species have been found in different places. Allosaurus fragillis in N. America, Africa, and possibly Europe and Allosaurus maximus in N. America and maybe Europe. Get what I mean?

MemberTyrannosaurus RexAug-09-2013 11:53 AMThat is entirely possible. What if both were included in the movie, thy both attack the people, and then they work togather to get the people, and then Rex steps in front of the people and they stop, and so do Metri and Yang. At that point, one of the characters (if only Malcolm was in the movie), could say "Looks we're between a rock and a hard place."* Then they run for Rex, who completely ignores then and fights Metri and Yang. Insert awesome fight here with epic T-Rex roar as rescue helicopters fly past and Jurassic Park theme blaring.
*Something funnier could be said, just a baseline.
