MemberCompsognathusJuly 31, 2012Here's hoping that they incorporate some prehistoric marine life in Jurassic Park 4! Our planet is over 75% ocean after all!

That would be pretty neat. And an interesting perspective as well. Underwater life is fascinating. We still have lots to find down there.
Great post.

This would be very exciting, however will they break away from the tried and true Raptors...
In the books there is mention of some water based life that had been created, for example something lives in the pond/lake near the opening scene where the Helicopter lands.

Gator is still the one alive all these years.
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

@Shambhala Agreed. And I think that crocodile's name is Sarcosuchus.

Also with Jurassic Park: The Game having a marine facility around Isla Nubla, it is totally possible that a marine predator could be included. However it all depends on if they script writers take us back to the islands or not. Also with the Marine Facility not being in the books, who knows if it was destroyed when the Costa Rican government napalmed the island.
All I can imagine is Moby Dick kinda movie where the Navy are hunting down a massive sea creature that is killing fisherman and destroying boats (or Jaws, and Lake Placid type movie).
But the idea to include a new predator may allow for at least some marine threat, here is hoping any ways.

LOL sorry, I made a big mistake with the Dunkleosteus...because the DNA comes from mosquitoes fossilized in amber so it is impossible that an marine animal of the Devonian can be revived by bioengineering. XDD

@Shambhala The devonian is one of my favorite periods...that's when fish started evolving into super-predators like stethacanthus, hyneria and, like you mentioned, Dunkleosteus.

@Eustreptospondylus 54, yeah is a very interesting period indeed and btw I think a Sarcosuchus or Deinonychus attacking a T-Rex would be nice :p

@Shambhala Yeah that would be nice...
How about Xenomorph vs Velociraptor?

I would like to see a tyrant marine predator such as liopleurodon or a mosasaurus.
