One of the biggest questions raised by the Jurassic World: Dominion trailer was this moment, which depicts two kids running from a swarm of unknown creatures.

Theories ranged from them being locust, birds, small pterosaurs or some type of prehistoric insect.

A recent issue of Empire magazine has revealed the identity of these creatures (sort of). One of the images from the magazine shows Dr. Henry Wu dissecting some type of large strange-looking insect.

It's currently unknown if this is some species of giant prehistoric insect or a genetic mutation of a modern bug species.

It does have some resemblance to a dragonfly, so it could be a species of meganeura or a related species (like meganeuropsis) .

It does remind me of Megaguirus, which makes sense because she (and the rest of her species) were based on prehistoric insects from the Carboniferous like this one.

I'm of the inclination that this is a genetically modified monster, one of Wu's side projects. It looks very alien, though.

Meganeura and Meganeuropsis are the most likely candidates. I brought up Megaguirus as a response to Kattozilla's comment of it looking like an old Godzilla creature.
