Hey fellow Dino-fans.  I'm sonictiger, I usually either post on Scified's editorals, fan art, or the Godzilla-Movies.com portion of the site.  Anyways, the best way to introduce myself to this site is to do a topic.  Anyways, I've had mixed feelings about the Jurassic Park/World franchise as a whole.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the very first movie.  The original had suspense, very good visual effects, and a good story and characters.  Also the whole "Life finds a way" speech is probably one of the best quotes in film.  It's really the mixed quality of the sequels that provokes these sort of mixed to negative feelings.  I did like The Lost World enough, but it was totally not at all like the first movie.  With some rather annoying characters and a ok story, it wasn't great in the slightest.  I never watched Jurassic Park 3 but I probs will even if it turns out to be the mucky stupidness that lots of people say it is.  Jurassic World gave a sort of resurgence to a dead franchise, and it was a really good movie showing very interesting concepts, a good and suspenseful story, good characters, and amazing VFX.  Almost everything about this movie seemed right while it wasn't AS GOOD as the OG Jurassic Park.  And then Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom happened.  It really isn't that good, 6/10 movie.  BARELY a 6/10 movie.  The movie does have good visuals, ok characters, and a really good cliffhanger going for it.  But the story is meh, the human villains suck, I think the Indoraptor is cool but there's no creativity and it's a weaker version of the Indominous Rex.  The film really couldn't stand on it's own but it has some redeemable moments that make it a smidgen better then The Lost World which is also a 6/10.  Honestly, I hope Jurassic World: Dominion is a good movie and all.  But I don't have a lot of faith in a franchise that's only really had 2 good movies and 3 not so good movies.  But hopefully, Dominion is great enough to save this ailing franchise.  Anyways I like this series, so I hope Jurassic Park/World cleans up it's act.  I've said all I want to say so put your thoughts in the comments...

I do wish I had better things to say but it's hard unless I'm thinking of the OG or the first Jurassic World...

Well design-wise I see where you're coming from.  But for starters the Indo Rex was harder to kill and that was stressful in a moviegoer sense of way.

The Indoraptor simply fell on some sharp bones and died....

are you kidding, The I rex was getting by a really old T. rex and Veliociraptor. Blue could barely handle Indoraptor in JWFK.

True, but the Rex showed more by taking on multiple dinos.  Indo Rap. only faced one dino.  Also I do have to say I get the purpose of Blue but it's kind of boring and even a bit ballsy.

Imma sound like one of the dino people Sasquadash was complaining about. But when you dig up fossils, its not bone, it’s Rock in the shape of the bones

@SonicTiger

The Indoraptor on display was canonically deemed a failure in-universe. It was sick, an unstable psychopath (much like its mother), and was more of a show case model rather than a perfected living weapon.

Their is a reason why Dr. Wu wanted Blue, not just for her DNA but because Wu wanted Blue to be the new and improved Indoraptor's mother so she could pass down the desired cooperative behavior to her "children"

That's also why Wu didn't want it featured and sold in the auction, he if it got out it could cause a lot of, uh, chaos. He also feared that it could be cloned and that the copies could be just as unstable as the original.

Mills: We can make more.

Wu: Yeah, so will they...

Exacta! My friend.

I love almost all of the Jurassic Park/World movies, Three is a bit of a soar spot but I enjoy the sapient raptor subplot. Not a huge fan of Camp Cretaceous
