As film, overall, is simply amazing. However, the ending sequence is the best I've seen in the franchise. While it is believed that Owen Grady was the main character, he wasn't. Claire Dearing was. Vic Hoskins is pretty sinister, revealing that Indominus Rex was really a planned weapon with Dr. Wu. It was kind of upsetting to see Wu change like that with Hammond not around, turned from a man doing his job to someone more twisted with no sense whatsoever to convince. Masrani was a nice guy, and was potrayed as someone who never knew these intentions as the others.
The raptor squad was a new experience to see the velociraptors of the franchise. It made them seem more aware and less intended of murdering. Blue, most of all, stood out from all of them with her relationship with Owen. It was awesome to see Rexy return right before the fight and see her destroy the Spinosaurus display. She looks amazing after all these years. Indominus Rex was the most dangerous and intelligent of all the dinosaurs of the franchise. It was easy to feel the need to rid of it's existance. It was rather lightening to see it die to the Mosasaur.
This film has a mix of drama, action, and terror to it, just like the previous films did, but executed them on a JP1 level. There are 4 plots going on at the same time: Gray's fear of his parents divorce and relationship with his brother, Owen and Claire's relationship, Hoskin's control after Masrani's death, and the need to eliminate the Indominus Rex.
Now, about the ending, it was simply the best scene in the franchise. Two powerful animals battle it out, smashing buildings and crushing concrete. She is eventually put down and weakened by the I-Rex and right before it attempts to finish her off, Blue comes out and saves her. It was cool to see the two archenemies tag-teaming against the Indominus till Rexy throws it to the Mosasaur pool. The way Rexy looks at Blue after the fight seems so calm, seeing that she forgives the fight she had 22 years ago, before she leaves the scene. As for Blue, she leaves too to live on her own.
After everyone reunites, Rexy is shown walking on the helipad to the control center as she surveys the damage of the park before giving out her best roar to the sunrise over Isla Nublar. The queen has regained control. BEST. ENDING. EVER.
