Indominus Rex's profile is on the JW site now, apparently she's got Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, AND Giganotasaurus DNA in her, strangely no mention T. rex, Raptor, Snake, or Cuttlefish DNA

I bet the Carno DNA is where the Chameleon ability comes from like in the books!

That would be awesome! Maybe the Carnotaurus might have a surprise cameo!

Fut the whuck?

THAT is a weird DNA combination right there. I could go on a rant about how that makes no sense, how its a terrible idea, yadda yadda yadda. But, I won't, so simply refer to my opening remark.

I honestly like it better than the T.rex and Raptor DNA rumor, plus the Abelisaur DNA makes all the bone knobs and head ornaments make sense. I wouldnt be surprised if there was still some raptor in there though, none of the above dinos have arms anywhere near that long plus she's "highly intelligent" another famous raptor trait

Their revealing it on Sunday? Wow, that's awesome!

It's confirmed yet, but I severely hope so.

It's got some fantastic dino DNA in it. Actually glad it's not just Rex and Raptor. Cool that they went outside the series regulars, if that makes sense.

And it can run 30mph in it's enclosure? That's insane. Hope we get to see it going full sprint running from raptors.

^Or raptors running from her.

BTW, the website said Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, orGiganotosaurus DNA. :)

Indominus is an Abelisaur, I am now officialy biased toward it killing everything in its path and winning in the end. Yes I do mean that it kills the Tyrannosaurs, Raptors, Spinosaurs, etc etc, and I will now be joining team Indominus Rex. Although Im just happy the Abelisaurs are getting some good old fashioned recognition for once, and it would explain the teeth placement that everyone complaines about since it is an Abelisaur.

I am sick and tired of Britain being the last country to get the update. The new dinosaur profiles (Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Moasaurus and Gallimimus) took a week or more to become available to me. Does anyone else in Britain agree with me?

EUSTREPTOSPONDYLUS - How very excellent! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

JURASSICWORLD - Here, here! I, too, dwell in the UK and am slightly displeased by the delay! However, keep your chin up! :)

@ SCI-FI KING: Actually, on the website it states "At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from theropods known as Abelisaurs. Indominus' horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus." So right there we have its entire body structure explained, the Abelisaurs make up most of its body while the Giganotosaurus explains the arms. They both proboly have some influence over its teeth as well, with the short and robust head being from the abelisaurs.

So, wait a minute.  Does her description officially rule out any DNA combination of the 4 creatures we were told would make her genetic make up?

It clearly says that her eye crests are from Majungo, Carno, Giga, and Rugops.  It says nothing about her body being the result of that hybrid combo.

@Cryolophosaurus, the arms are too long to be from Giga DNA.  It has to be raptor DNA.

so I'm not the only one with the delay

lol

anyway, does this means that jurassic world also had Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus inside the park?

MemberCompsognathusJan-29-2015 5:21 PM

@Alphadino, yes your right, I dont know what I was thinking, its not like Indominus was created through genetic manipulation to suit the creators desires like makeing its arms longer than they naturally would be.

And no, it is not made from any other dinosaurs as it cleraly states in the second sentence that I posted it only draws DNA from Abelisaurs and Giganotosaurus. "But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from theropods known as Abelisaurs." And the reason that I am confident that these are the only ones is because in the first sentence it states that it isnt a tyrannosaur, and above I made it obvious why there dosnt need to be any raptor DNA what so ever.

This is neat! I always thought she looked like one of them! Great dinosaurs, Carnotaurus!

But wait? Wouldn't that mean they have a Giganotosaurus, Majungosaurus, etc. in their park?

I was actually dreaming last night of the 5th JP and Carnotaurus was in it...

However, I still like the name D-Rex and when it had Cuttlefish, Snake, T-Rex and Raptor DNA...It seemed more a hyrbrid...up first I hated the sound of the hybrid, but then It grew on me...I wish there could be like 2 dinos, this I-Rex with this DNA and the D-Rex and that DNA.

I agree with Mr.Happy

BTW I am here in Australia, we only got the Gallimimus etc. like a week or 2 ago, so long to wait! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu------------

Carnosaur

so i guess this means we were fed a false leak then? i like the new dna combo. it explains why its appearance is reminiscient of a carcharodontosaur now

CARNOSAUR - I agree. It would appear that the general public was intentionally supplied with a Red Herring! However, I can not say that I blame the studio; with the way in which leaks run rampant these days, directors and production companies need to get creative - and perhaps a little devious - to guard their secrets! ;)
