While exploring the Masrani site, I uncovered a little Ingen Nugget...

 

"Simon Masrani used subsidaries Axis Boulder Engineering and Timack Construction to work on the preparation and planning prior to construction on the island. Construction workers were protected from native wildlife by InGen security over the course of the three years from 2002 until completion in 2004. With over $1.2 billion alone spent in concrete and building materials, this project was never underestimated."

 

Native Wildlife?

 

As far as it's known, Isla nublar had a Substancial Bird Population *With the only Evidence being Michael Crichtons JP*.

 

Most of these Species would be pretty harmless...

 

It also States somewhere that Dr.Wu Returned to the Island to "Clean up"

"After the unfortunate incident at Jurassic Park, Dr. Henry Wu returned to Isla Nublar in November of 1994 to assist the clean up teams in cataloging specimen numbers, and to identify exactly how the animals were breeding. Despite the island’s presence of seemingly same sex animals, it was the inclusion of amphibian DNA which he himself had underestimated. The son of a close friend of the now late John Hammond, Simon Masrani promoted Dr. Wu within the ranks of the InGen company in December of 2000 and brought the scientist onto the Jurassic World project. Dr. Henry Wu was instantly looked at as a valued member of the Masrani company, proving his unique skill not only as a successful scientist, but a great visionary."

So, They did just Catalouge the Left over animals on Site A, But... Why did Ingen count this as a Loss then? And... Why did they decide to use Site B?

 

I mean... Obviously, not much could've happened to the Island over the Year of human absense.

 

Most of the lab equipment would've been fine, Due to the Power Circuit still running when Grant left the island, And the locked doors. 

 

The Dino Embryos would've been a loss, I'd guess around 24 million dollars for both Embryo towers. 

 

The fences would've been lost, But salvagable. 

 

Many dinosaurs would've died...

But, it would appear at least until they got Jurassic World up and running, There was some Wild Dinos that Required a Heavy Security force to handle. *With their Possible Irradication later on after the Park was ready to be Launched*
