MemberCompsognathusAug-08-2014 12:06 PMHowdy!
As many of you may or may not know, I've had the most doubts about this film since they started releasing set pictures.
I Mean, we've got one of the best choices for new Directors, And two of the best writers...
But something is off....
1993, Stephen Speilburg's Jurassic park is released, An Adventure Sixty Five Million years in the making. The production of the Film Survived The Iniki hurricane, and lots of hawaiian rain.
The film rakes in a total of: $357,067,947
1997, The long awaited Sequel "The Lost world, Jurassic Park" Roars into Theaters, Again Directed by Speilburg, Returns to the adventure of Jurassic park, But on another Island.
The Lost world Rakes in a Grand total of: $229,086,679
2001, The Newest addition to the Jurassic Park Franchise "Jurassic Park III" Storms in to Theaters, Returning to Site B, With Sam neil, and a whole new cast.
Jurassic Park 3 Rakes in the Sad sum of: $181,171,875
Notice those Declining numbers? Sad Isn't it?
Now, heres the things, The Original JP had a lot, Because more people wanted to see it because of the book. TLW, Had fewer people read the book, Because many didn't know there was a sequel. TLW Also had some fans lost, Because the First one didn't match the book.
(They had all the reason to no go)
JP3, The saddest tale yet.
No one liked it. It was unnessiceray and Didn't fully add up. Speilburg should've been left to Direct this one. Granted, That sentence there is going to Piss some one off.
Heres the thing, If you don't like my Oppion, I don't care.
Now, Something Interesting. On the opening Weekends for the Film, Somethings... Flipped.
Opening Weekend Results:
TLW
$72,132,785
JP3
$50,771,645
JP
$47,026,828
TLW And JP3 Scored more on the Opening Weekend then the original JP.
Now, Lets toss the Ball over to colin for a minute.
Here we are, 14 Years after the last JP, With the Newest Film on the way.
The entire franchise rests on this films shoulders, As if it is bad and comes in horrible at the Box office, The promised Sequels will not be produced.
Now, I've got some Predictions for this film.
Jurassic World Opening Weekend:
$ 82,257,230
Jurassic World Closing Weekend:
$20,000
Jurassic world Total Gross: $ 439,267,300
You may notice it's kinda a low number (I've seen films hit Billions before). Here's the thing.
Here in the 21st Century, No one thinks about stopping and doing Live Action as much as they should.
If they can't make it within 2 Days, It's going to be CGI'd, Because that's the easy way out.
Now, If you've noticed, Colin pulled this together rather Quickly, Out of no where. We've heard nothing from ILM Or SWS on the film. Besides that ONE RAPTOR. That however, Could've been made in a garage.
Now, Heres the thing, We've had so many people monitoring Transport to Hawaii, (Hence why we've learned so much on the Vehicles) You think they'd notice a Crate Carrying a Dinosaur.
There's the slim chance, that All of the Dinosaurs are being used in Baton Rouge, But that's rather Stupid to have them in just one Location....
None of this fully adds up. This makes me Believe, Especailly with the Shortest Film time I've ever seen, That most of this is to be CGI. Even the Original JP Had a film time of 7 Weeks, We got JW Wrapped up in about a combined time of a month.
That lack of time to advance the film, Disturbs me.
So, Where's this film going? Not Sure.
Thats up to you to decide.
