Okay, so this is a question!

How advanced are we really in the field of cloning and genetics etc. I'm not very knowledgeable in this topic so I was just wondering if someone who has at least a basic idea could inform me on the latest happenings in that field! Thanks for reading.

We are getting really adavnced. I have heard that some parents may actually be able to choose how their children will look like by manipulating the genes.

Also this doesn't do that much to relate with Jurassic Park...

Oh cool.....this does, the dinosaurs are cloned, the main theme is really genetics! I don't know if you were talking about the babies or this topic but just sayin..

Thanks for the info though, that really means that promising thing as await us in the future but somehow I don't think dinosaurs are one of those things! I can still dream!

yeah, but still. The topic in the movie isn't really gentics, it just tries to shoiw how stupid, foolish, and naive us as humans can be and how we have no control over nature.

I've dedicated a few years of my life into studying Genetics... (most of this done in the past few years...)

It's complicated, and not complicated... I don't have quite enough time to discuss how we COULD get a dinosuar, do to how long the document would be...

Yadda yadda...

The techniques in JP don't work for a number a reasons, so, we can't really rely on it. We can take the lessons though, and apply them, to an actual dinosaur park...

A year or so ago, I did a simulation of a dinosaur park (something I'm tempted to do again) Where I raised several species on an island in the pacific equator near Costa Rica... Isla De Co co...

EVAN123 - I work in the field of journalism, and let me tell you: there have been some advances in our understanding of genetic manipulation that have made this girl's head spin! We're getting to the point that we're actually capable of "fooling" DNA that's already begun to replicate into becoming something it wasn't originally coded to form. A disertation I recently read also describes how various leading scientists are begining to work on Artifical DNA - Genetic Material fasioned from nanomachinery that functions exactly like organic DNA! Consider the implications of that. We could BUILD a living being from the ground up utilizing only trace amounts of various elements. The leaps we're taking are incredible! There's no telling what we might be able to accomplish in the near future! I certainly hope this helps answer some of your question. :)

Wow, yes, thanks this answers my question anyway haha, I had no idea we were so advanced within these fields of science! Who knows guys, we could be seeing a real jurassic world by the time we are all wrinkled! If not, we can all still dream!
