SPINOSAURUS TRUE KING
MemberCompsognathusJanuary 22, 2014Hey everbody whats up SPINOSAURUS TRUE KING here and i want to know what dinosaur you think will or deserves to be in the spotlight for Jurassic World
Rex will be in it no doubt, but i would like to see a carnotaurus maybe...it was mentioned in the lost world novel but hasn't been put into the movies yet
Nature doesn't deceive us; it is we who deceive ourselves.
Yeah, i'd love to see Carno And Spino, but what i really want to see is Giganotosaurus Carrolinni.
To be fair and honest we literly have no real clue as to what Spinosarus looked like. We are taking a shot in the dark. We looked at some of his relatives and then supersized him. Paleontologist Andrea Cau believes that Spinosarus was no longer then 14 meters and had short legs and walked on fours. He also analyzed the Spino vertebrae against a Tyrannosaurus Rex and found it to quite small. Some scientist say they may have been a weight limit for theropod Dinosaurs. 10-12 tons? I think we should leave Spinosarus out of the movies until we find more remains then just a partial jaw and some spines and a few vertibrae. For all we know it might have been evolving into a marine reptile design or Crocodilian. If you want to learn more go to his website. He makes some compelling arguments. But it's in Italian so you will have to translate it to English.

The famous Gigantosaurus. Was not as big as some claim. Scott Hartman is an expert on Dinosaur skeletal reconstructions. He claims Tyrannosaurus Rex is far larger than his Southern Cousin. Not trying to rain on anybody's parade here. But there have been some interesting thought and new estimates on large Theropod Dinosaur sizes just last year. There will also be a new paper coming out on Spinosarus this year.
I like all large theropods except for Spinosarus. Not because of JP3, but because I dont know what it really looked like! The only large Theropods that would be intersting to me would be Carcharodontosaurus. They have a couple skeltons. Not complete but they have a real good idea on what it looked like. Mauposaurus would be cool as well. Smaller than Tyrannosaurus Rex except on BBC's "Planet Dinosaur". It would be an interesting addition. But I think Carnatorus, Allosaurus, or Acrocanthosarus will be the candidates if they were to bring in a medium to slighty large Theropod. But then again it could end up being Troodon. Smartest Dinosaur that we know.
i dont want to start a war with you Dave 14 but i disagree with you spino should be in it (not saying that cause im on team spino) we have had one complete skeleton but it was reduced to dust in World War Two when the musem was accidently bombed by an allied bomber i would love to see spino, rex, carnotaurus and giganotosaurus and there is ton of evidents that the new dino is going to troodon you just have to know where to look
LOL. Don't worry Spino. I don't get offended. Just passing along different thought and theories.
But this is about as much as Germany's Stromer found. No arms, no legs, no tail, no ribs, and very little skull.
This is Cau's Blog homepage http://theropoda.blogspot.it/?m=1
You will have to translate it.
He may change the way you look at Spinosarus. Then again it's his observations. You don't have to agree. Just throwing something out.
I agree with Dave some. It was fragmentary at best the remains we had of Spino. Also, there was indeed a study that stated that Spino was much lighter than originally thought.
Jack of all trades. Master of none
Dave14:
Scott hartman's giganotosaurus is just the most recent reconstruction about it,and this not mean that he is 100% right.Just look how fragmentary are the two found giga
T.rex is still the most powerfull Carnivore ever on land, no matter if its bigger or larger than Giganotosaurus. I have heard that new founds indicatetd that it was just as mentioned earlierboth heavier and larger then we thought before. So it would be just right to put Rex into Jurassic world along with Carnotaurus,Troodon and some marine reptile, hopefully Mosasaurus.
You're Right ! the marine reptile, i've hope that this would be better with a LIOPLEURODON.
Tyrannosaurus were so much more heavily robust then any other large theropod. If you ask me Gigi and T-Rex should have been in JP3. I would love to see other large theropods besides Big T. They dont necessarily have to have them bralling with each other. In real life they would have left each other alone unless starvation was a factor. Maybe hunting territory? I am a big fan of all the large theropods. They all had unique killing methods. But the one thing I can't stand is absolutes. No one has a clue how big Gigantosaurus got. They have an idea. Sue was the largest Tyrannosaurus Rex? How would anyone know that? There were millions of them over time. This dino was bigger then this dino! What in length? Height? Weight? My hunch is that there was a weight limit for bipedal carnivores. Meaning they were all about the same size. What interests me are the weapons that they possed. From bite force, intelligence, attacking methods, eye sight, sense of smell, the teeth and body designs. That's why I think they were are all so damn interesting. Who was the baddest? Who cares!
