While this is true for some individuals, isolated vertebrae and limb bones suggest bigger animals. Much bigger animals. These bones indicate that it reached sizes comparable to Argentinosaurus and Puertasaurus, which would make it the largest dinosaur known from North America. Not only would it be the biggest animal in N. America, it would be among the biggest land animals ever. I estimate Alamosaurus had a max size of perhaps 80+ ft and at least 60-70 tons, probably more. Alamosaurus is a perfect example of how some dinosaurs are given a size based on the common finds, while isolated bones suggest animals much bigger. This is an important detail about Alamosaurus that I think should be addressed.
