MemberCompsognathusJune 13, 20131393 Views9 RepliesNow, this includes the carcharodontosaurs. My favorite member of this group is Allosaurus itself. On the average, these predators were about 33 ft long and just over 3 tons in weight. Some estimates go as high as 40 ft and 5 tons though. Either way, they were big. Allosaurus could also hit 20 miles an hour. Along with 3-4 inch long teeth, they also had 6-9 inch claws on their hands. Allosaurus was truly a terror from the Jurassic.

So what about you guys? What are your favorite allosaurs? This includes the carcharodontosaurs. You can include Acrocanthosaurus and Deltadromeus even though Acro may be a spinosaur and Delta is technically a ceratosaur, but may be an allosaur.
